Road Postings Start Feb 27th

The Town of Chebeague Island will implement spring road postings beginning February 27th to protect local roads during the seasonal thaw period. As temperatures rise, the road base becomes soft and vulnerable to damage from heavy vehicles. These temporary restrictions help preserve road quality and reduce long‑term maintenance costs.

Vehicles are limited to a maximum of 23,000 pounds on posted roads.
